Slideshow Projects
Most of the slideshow project were very explanatory but some were much too short and had many gaps. Most projects had little writing in the slides and large pictures that took up most of the space. Overall they were pretty good but some could have had more work put into them. some had more text than pictures, and that made for a very educational slideshow that was worth watching.
All of the civilizations had warfare that was very influential in their existence and was the downfall of most. Religion was also very important to almost all of them and very often controlled the path that the civilization took in terms of building temples and daily life. The civilizations all had a very diverse culture and included a lot of music and theater and helped the creation of books and philosophy.
This is about the group projects that the class did and my opinion on how they were done. overall I thought they were pretty good but some could have used more work.
My Vote
I am currently leaning towards voting for Matt Greenwood and the Green party because he had many solid points and knew how to explain them. He wouldn’t just give a five second answer and then pass on the mic like other politicians. Matt also talked about how the green party was very much trying to advocate for for their outlook on many things such as saying no to the Enbridge Pipeline Project. He advised the students about how other parties would steal ideas or plans from the greens and pass them off as their own. He was quite outspoken about these problems, and it was obvious that he was passionate about them. He also explained himself well and was confident, he obviously didn’t need to rehearse his lines like other people. Both Cathy Macleod and Steve Powrie seemed evasive and sometimes just avoided questions and talked until the time limits. Bill Sundhu was just going after the Conservatives and he talked a lot about how the couldn’t help Canada if they were re-elected. If I could vote right now, I would vote for the Green party because they need to have more control over decisions because they rarely get any seats and if they had more they would possibly be able to contribute more to Canada as a whole.
This is my opinion on who I would vote for if I was old enough to vote when we had the candidates come to our school to do a q&a with us. This is based solely on the information that I gained during the Q&A.
